Curriculum

Dove Academy is committed to educating students in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade in a positive learning environment and is built upon the goal that all future graduates will be well prepared to attend college.

The school’s rigorous curriculum is fully aligned with the state’s learning requirements and enables students to achieve academic excellence in the core subjects of mathematics, language arts, science and social studies. The Academy uses the “Character Choices” and “No Excuses University” programs in its daily classroom instruction, placing a great emphasis on character building and obtaining a superior, collegiate-focused education.

Our curriculum places a strong emphasis on math and communication skills. All other subjects such as science, social studies, art, music and physical education are supported by a solid foundation of literacy and mathematics.

The program gives students the opportunity to receive focused, one-on-one or small group instruction in a positive, supportive learning environment. The goal is to encourage students and provide additional academic help so that all are able to achieve their highest learning potential. Enrollment in the program is based on both the child’s individual teacher’s and Principal’s recommendations.
